That's the story of my life. Haha

I feel most comfortable writing in first person point of view for my main character, and third person omniscient for everyone else. And...no I don't think I would change. I like writing that way. Unless I'm writing a book that's nonfiction or a biography or something, that is. Haha!

In retrospect, though, I'm hopefully going to have my Dad and older brother read my second book before I publish it - they have some great ideas that I would like to incorporate before it is published. I suppose the moment when I realized it was all coming together, and that I actually LIKED the story was my favorite. It seemed to make it worth all the hard work and frustration. However, she told me that it's one of my strongest points. I was a little surprised, and it kind of started me thinking.

I realized that I look at the world and I see we are surrounded by completely different types of people - yet, for the most part, we can work together. I realized that characters in books should be just like that as well! I make a list of all my characters in a notebook, and I think about each one; create a different personality for each. I outline their strengths and weaknesses, habits, appearance, characteristics, and more. Doing all that really helps create a clear idea of who they are in my mind, and makes it easier for me to integrate that character into my story. Hope that helps! :)

-Tiallatiallarisinghttp://www.therubyvial.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8832410260230794314.post-48404058914407633702013-08-20T11:00:49.933-05:002013-08-20T11:00:49.933-05:00Also, what was your favorite thing about writing y...Also, what was your favorite thing about writing your book? :)Hannahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06331710200355579856noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8832410260230794314.post-12362929436203807582013-08-20T10:59:05.639-05:002013-08-20T10:59:05.639-05:00How long did it take you to write this book? :)
